For Dan he started work as a comedian in various Canadian nightclubs after he had finished his Criminology and Sociology program at Carleton University back in 1969.
During that time, he was also the operator at Club 505, a Toronto-based after-office-hours speaker. In 1973, Dan Aykroyd started his acting career at the same university he had left a few years before after performing with the Toronto-based Second City Stage Troupe. He has been collaborating with the Sock’n’Buskin campus drama/theater club. All these experiences were just pads for the comedy and acting career of Dan Aykroyd.

He was the youngest cast member, and for the first four seasons from 1975–1979, Aykroyd continued to be involved. In 1977, Dan Aykroyd received an Emmy Award for writing on SNL. Twice, they were nominated to compose and perform. Aykroyd has spent 40 years acting and has acted in over 106 films, TV series, and video games and has also voiced characters. Ghostbusters II (1989), Ghostbusters (2016), and The Couch Trip (1988), which he performed alongside his wife, Donna Dixon, were among his most influential feature films.
On the other side, Donna Doxon left George W.U. and started her career as a model. She was named Miss Virginia USA in 1976, and Miss Washington D.C. World was named the following year. On Doctor Detroit’s set, she met her husband in 1983, and just months later the love bird was married.
In movies such as Twilight Around: The Film (1983), Spies Like Us (1985), The Couch Ride, and Dan Aykrome and Donna Dixon starred at their wedding (1988). Dixon left in 1997, in comparison to her husband who still acts. But, as Ms. Blair did in the 2014 movie Da Sweet Blood of Jesus, she took her final movie part. She appeared in no fewer than 14 films and television shows during her career.
