Ben Sasse was born on February 22, 1972, in Plainview, Nebraska, United States. His birth name is Benjamin Eric Sasse. American is his nationality. His ethnicity is White while Pisces is his zodiac sign.

Sasse was born to Gary Lynn Sasse(father) and Linda Sasse(mother). His father was a high school teacher and a football coach. His grandfather, Elmer Sasse worked as a vice president of finance for Midland University for 33 years.

He was raised in his hometown, Nebraska as a Lutheran and baptized in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. He did his schooling at Fremont Senior High School and got graduated in 1990. Later, he attended Harvard University and got graduated in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in government.

Ben Sasse started his professional career in 1994 by working as an associate consultant at the management consultant firm “Boston Consulting Group”.

He worked as a consultant until November 1995.

Then, he served as executive director for Christians United For Reformation(CURE).

After CURE merged with the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals(ACE), he became the executive director of ACE.

He started working as a chief of staff for the US Department of Justice Office of Legal Policy in Washington D.C in January 2004.

He also worked as a part-time professor at the University of Texas at Austin.

In January 2005, he left the Department of Justice and began serving as chief of staff to Representative Jeff Fortenberry.

He left his job in July 2005 and went on to become a counselor to the secretary at the US Department of Health and Human Services(HHS).

Sasse got selected for the post of assistant secretary in the HHS.

He worked in the department until January 2009.

In October 2009, he officially joined the University of Texas LBJ School of Public Affairs.

He got recognition after he got announced as the 15th President of Midland University in October 2009.

He became one of the youngest college presidents in the nation at the time.

On December 31, 2014, he resigned from his post as president at Midland University.

He joined the Republican Party in 2013.

In October 2013, he announced that he will be a candidate for the 2014 United States Senate election in Nebraska.

Sasse rose to fame after he won the general election for the US Senate on November 4, 2014, with 64.4 votes.

He also was one of sixteen senators to vote against legislation preventing a partial government shutdown in February 2019.
