Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian have sued each other! Will the cases be consolidated?

The legal fight of Rob Kardashian and his family with Rob’s ex-girlfriend and baby mama, Blac Chyna is not over yet. There is still a lot of drama ahead with accusations coming from both camps. Both have cases against the other.

Rob Kardashian and his case against Blac Chyna

The son of Kris Jenner, Rob Kardashian had split from Blac Chyna in December 2016. They share daughter Dream together who was born in November 2016. There was a brief reunion before they broke for good in February 2017. Ever since that time, each is accusing the other and has made cases against the other. Now, Rob, 34 has sued Blac, 33 on charges of assault and battery. He has stated that in December 2016, Blac had tried to kill him by strangulation with an iPhone cord. He has alleged that she also hit him with a metal pole 6 feet long.

Blac denies all claims. She has in hand as proof a video clip of the show KUWTK that was not aired. It shows Rob with no injuries that he claims she inflicted on him. The hearing is this month. But Rob is trying to delay it. But Blac wants the case to go ahead. Her sole lawyer, Lynne Ciani wants the court to close the motion initiated by Kim Kardashian, Khloé, mother Kris Jenner, and Kylie Jenner.

Blac and her case against Rob

Blac has filed a separate case against Rob and his family. In the papers, she has stated that the family including her ex Rob are spreading lies about her. They allege falsely that she abused Rob. These false allegations made Blac lose her show Rob and Chyna. E! canceled the show due to it. Blac is demanding millions from the family in damages. This case hearing is in April 2022.

Will the court consolidate both legal cases?

Rob and his family wants the court to consolidate both the cases since witnesses testifying in both cases would be common. That will save time and make the process efficient, according to them. But Blac does not want it. According to her argument, combining both cases would cause confusion to the jury. She prefers the cases to remain separate.

Blac also feels that by consolidating her and Rob’s cases, the family and Rob would have a total of 8 attorneys and other paralegals on the case. These lawyers abd paralegals belong to the firm Lavely & Singer and Cooley. She argues that with so many people on the case, they would be needed to be present in the courtroom as well. This would be unsafe during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. She strongly feels that she and her lawyer would not be able to follow social distancing due to the crowd and would have to face unnecessary risks. Will the court comply to her request? Yet to be seen.
