•  In 1993, after boxing merchandise for a few years in the shipping department at Thrasher, Phelps was promoted to editor, where he remained for 26 years.
• As Thrasher’s editor, Phelps has selected the Skater of The Year since 1993. Phelps’ final selection, the 2018 SOTY, was Tyshawn Jones.
• In his early days, Phelps played guitar in a band called “Bad Shit”, Together with Tony Trujillo and his wife, Ashley “Trixie” Trujillo. The band has toured both in the US and internationally.
• Besides this, he works several TV Documentary like King of Road (2016), All Ages: The Boston Hardcore Film (2012), Money for Blood (2007), Under the Influence: California Pool Skateboarding (2005), and Dogtown and Z-Boys (2001) as an Editor.
