Joe Gatto, Tenderloins cofounder announces his quitting from the show due to personal issues including divorce from wife Bessy

Joe Gatto of Impractical Jokers fame gave his fans a new year shock. He revealed that he is quitting the show. Joe has been facing personal issues lately when he and his wife of 8 years, Bessy decided to divorce.

Joe Gatto quits the show Impractical Jokers

On 31 December 2021, Joe Gatto, 45 of the popular TV show Impractical Jokers announced that he is leaving the show. Joe put up a lengthy post on this matter on his Instagram for his fans. He first put in his apology for the long message on social media. He wrote:

I just wanted to let you all know that I will no longer be involved with Impractical Jokers,”

Joe who hails from New York revealed that his exit is due to personal reasons. The major one is his separation divorce from his wife Bessy. He has to solve and settle things on that front and hence would be unable to concentrate on the show. It is a painful period for the star.

The Tenderloins cofounder wrote:

“Alongside my friends, I’ve devoted a decade of my life to building this franchise and couldn’t be prouder of what has been accomplished. However, due to some issues in my personal life, I have to step away. Bessy and I have decided to amicably part ways, so now I need to focus on being the best father and co-parent to our two incredible kids.”

Bessy also released a statement on her Instagram on the same day:

“With love and respect, we have decided to separate. Although we will no longer be a couple, we will always be a family to our beautiful kids and we look forward to co-parenting together. We ask that you please respect our privacy as we navigate this new chapter together. And of course we will still continue to help animals and rescue dogs, which is something we are both passionate about! ❤️”

The relationship timeline of the couple

Joe and Best wed in 2013. They have two children; daughter Milana, 6, and son Remo, 4. Joe and his high school friends, James “Murr” Murray, Brian “Q” Quinn and Sal Vulcano formed the Tenderloins comedy group in1998. In 2011, TruTV took in their comedy show and they could reach a wider audience and became more popular. Talking about them and the show, Joe said in his post:

“Outside of my family, my relationships with Murr, Q and Sal have been the most important in my life. I know they will continue to make the world laugh. And even though the four of us are the ones who you all see, this show is only possible due to the hard work of the talented crew members who work behind the scenes. I am very thankful to have worked with each and every one of them.”

He continued:

“To all of the amazing fans, thank you for allowing me to make you laugh with Jokers. They say that laughter is the best medicine, and I hope I’ve been able to provide some of that over the last decade. Seeing you laugh has been my own medicine, particularly in these weird and difficult times we find ourselves.”

Also, he promised:

“As I work through the challenges I am facing, I hope to and am excited to create new ways to entertain you.”
