Previously, she co-anchored New Day at CNN’s New York bureau and anchored The Situation Room. She also served as a congressional correspondent based in Washington, D.C. as well as a general assignment correspondent for the network.

Early Life of Kate Bolduan
Kate Bolduan was born to Jeffrey Kate and Nadine Kate on July 28, 1983, in Goshen, Indiana, United States. She is the third of four daughters. She attended a public high school named Goshen High School at Goshen. In 2005, she graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from George Washington University.
She was a walk-on to the women’s volleyball team during her time at university. She also acted with the student theatre organization. Kate learned Spanish while she stayed at Madrid during her studies.
Career of Kate Bolduan
After graduation, Kate started working as a general assignment reporter for WTVD-TV in Raleigh, North Carolina Later she joined NBC News and MSNBC in Washington D.C. to began her television career as a production assistant. She also worked at House & Garden magazine, Dateline NBC and NBC Nightly News.
CNN Newsource: In 2007, Kate joined CNN Newsource as a national correspondent. She used to provide breaking news coverage and feature reports for a large number of CNN Newsource affiliates. Berman moved 9 a.m. to co-host CNN Newsroom and Kate became the sole host of At This Hour. The show focused daily events with correspondents sending their on-site live reports into the studio and also presents moderated live interviews and discussions with guests in the studio or via teleconference.
The states of America with Kate Bolduan: Kate covered the 2016 U.S. Presidential campaign for the global audience, a CNN International program. She was named anchor of State of America with Kate Bolduan.
