A devastating tragedy hit the Bermans after more than three décades as a man and as a wife. In an eerie car accident at the age of 67, Katherine Ann Berman died on 9 May 2017. Official reports suggested that when she hurried a man’s car in Woodbury (West of Connecticut), Kathy caused the accident when driving her Lexus SUV on Sherman Hill Lane, killing the two.

The 87-year-old Edward Bertulis ran into a post, while the other driver Kathy landed in a nearby river. She was declared dead on stage but Bertulis had suffered many wounds and later lost the fight for her life. she went to Waterbury Hospital.

Studies have shown that Katherine Ann Berman is intoxicated because of her blood alcohol levels which are higher than the legal limit of Connecticut. Traces of oxycodone, tramadol, and anti-depressant have been detected in their system by toxicology research.
