Despite the engagement three years back, there are no wedding bells heard from Katy Perry and her fiance, Orlando Bloom. Fans and people are curious to learn the reason for this delay. Katy was on the show The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Wednesday, 9 February 2022. She talked about this delay in wedding plans and said:

“We’re still trying to work out destination [and] location,”

The current coronavirus pandemic is largely responsible for causing the delay. Katy, 37 added:

“We’re still trying for it to work out. But every couple of months, it’s like, new variant! New variant! New variant!”

Katy was answering when show host Kyle Sandilands asked her:

“Have you and Orlando got married secretly, or you just dragging this out? Or are you not sure? What’s going on there?”

The couple’s relationship timeline

The American singer and Orlando are dating since 2016. But the relationship was an on and off type. Later, in February 2019, Orlando went down on one knee with the engagement ring and proposed to Katy who said yes. Orlando proposed to her during a helicopter ride above the city. Katy had praised her fiance for that day saying:

“We did land and it was like James Bond, everybody had an earpiece. And then, we [went] downstairs … and my whole family was there and all my friends. He did so well,”

In March 2020, Katy revealed that she was pregnant with their first baby. And in August the same year, she delivered a beautiful baby girl. They have named her Daisy Dove Bloom.

An insider revealed:

“[Katy] hasn’t had much sleep and is pretty tired but knows it’s part of the process. Her own mom, Mary, is helping out and Orlando is super hands-on,”

Orlando and his babysitting duties

Katy is busy in her career now. She started her Play residency on 29 December 2021 at the AEG Presents/Concerts West Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas. The show is sold out and Billboard said:

“It features another dimension of rainbow fluff, heart-shaped confetti, and larger-than-life anthropomorphic household objects — it’s part fantasy, part hallucination, and thoroughly high-camp Perry,”

Katy is performing sporadically from March to August 2022 in Las Vegas. An insider said:

“Katy has a place in Vegas, and Orlando will be out there to help [her] while she is on stage, and if she ever has to go from Vegas to LA for American Idol duties,”
