is an American actor, comedian, singer, producer, director, writer and activist, who is best known for his two-decade-long portrayal of psychiatrist Dr. Frasier Crane on the NBC sitcoms, “Cheers” and “Frasier”. He is also known for his performance in the political drama series, “Boss” and “The Last Tycoon”. Kelsey Grammer is the first actor in television history to receive multiple Emmy nominations for performing the same character, Dr. Frasier Crane in three different serials including “Cheers” and “Frasier”. 

Grammer has set his trademark with his deep smooth voice and portrayal of the pompous character in several hit animated shows, “The Simpsons”, “Anastasia”(1997) and “Toy Story 2″(1999). Throughout his 40 years long career, Grammer has managed to win several awards including 5 Primetime Emmy Awards, 3 Golden Globe Awards, 1 Daytime Emmy Award, and 1 Tony Award. On Friday night, July 24, 2020, his daughter, Spencer Grammer, 36, and her friend, Jan Phillip Mueller, 32 were attacked while dining out at an East Village restaurant reportedly, she got cut in her right arm and her date was stabbed in the lower back.

Where was Kelsey Grammer Born?

Kelsey Grammer was born on February 21, 1955, in Charlotte Amalie, Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. His birth name is Allen Kelsey Grammer. His nationality is American. Kelsey Grammer belongs to multi-racial(Scottish, English, and German) ethnicity while Pisces is his zodiac sign. 

Kelsey was born as the eldest son in a well-to-do family to musician parents: Sally Grammer(mother) and Frank Allen Grammer(father). His mother, Sally was a singer and actress while his father, Frank was a musician and owner of a coffee shop and a bar and grill called “Greer’s Place”. He grew up along with his younger sister named Karen Grammer who was ruthlessly kidnapped, raped, and murdered in Colorado Springs in 1975. 

Kelsey was raised by his mother and maternal grandparents in New Jersey after his parents divorced when he was just 2 years old.
