A viral marketing ad by Kim Klacik:

Kim Klacik’s campaign ad titled “Black Lives Don’t Matter to Democrats” was released on the social media website on August 18, 2020.

She says in the video: “Do you care about the lives of black people? The people in charge of Baltimore don’t care. I can justify it to you. Take a walk with me. This is something they don’t want you to see. Kim Klacik is my name. This is Baltimore, as it should be. Every single day, this is the truth for black people. Infrastructure in disrepair, abandoned houses, poverty, and crime are all problems. Over the past 53 years, Baltimore has been a Democratic stronghold. What has been done as a result of their decades of leadership? The murder rate in Baltimore is ten times the national average, the poverty rate in Baltimore is over twenty percent, and homicide, drug, and alcohol deaths are on the rise in our city.”

“Do you think Black lives are important? Yes, I do. In Baltimore, the vast majority of violence is committed against Black citizens, who make up 60% of the population. So, why are we so unconcerned with our communities? Baltimore’s Black people were betrayed by the Democratic Party. If politicians did as I do and walked the streets, they can see firsthand how their policies and corruption affect us. They, on the other hand, may not want to see this. ‘Do you want to defund the police?’ go to any Black community in Baltimore and inquire.”

Then three African-Americans offer their perspectives. Finally, she says: “Democrats believe that African-Americans are illiterate. They believe they can keep us under their influence indefinitely. Yet we will not expect better, and we will continue to vote for them. Despite the fact that they have harmed our families and societies. Do they have a point? I’m Kim Klacik, and I’m running for Congress because I really care about the lives of African-Americans. All Black lives are important, Baltimore is important, and Black people are not required to vote for Democrats.”
