Basketball became his sanctuary from Flint’s raw streets and would be an enormous part of its years of formation. From Swartz Creek Community School, Kyle went to school, transferring to Bentley High School. In high school, he achieved an average of 17.9, 14.4, 3.8, and 3.4 blocks per game as a junior.

Kyle Kuzma submitted tapes to schools as a student at Bentley. Vin Sparacio, the Head Coach of the Rise Academy, likes what he saw. Kyle was a high school pupil at the Rise Academy but, with each game, he lifted his average to 22 points and seven rebounds. He then had offers for Tennesee, Yowa State, and Connecticut to play with Division I colleges. He was eventually selected to attend Utah University.

Kyle had 10.8 points per game on average. He raised the average as a junior up to 16.4 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 2.4 game aids. He earned the All Pac 12 honors of his first team. Kyle Kuzma took his time to enter the 2017 draft of the NBA at the end of the season.

Budding career of Kyle Kuzma in the NBA

In the 2017 NBA draft for Brooklyn Nets, Kyle was the 27th overall choice. On daybreak, he was handed over to Los Angeles Lakers for D’Angelo Russel, who came from Los Angeles Lakers to the Brooklyn Nets.

On an average of 21.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2,7 assists, 1,4 blocks and 1,1 robs per game, Kyle Kuzma was named to the All-Summer League Second Team.
