Lady Tatiana Mountbatten is engaged to her boyfriend, Alexander Alick Dru
Queen Elizabeth II at last has some good news from her royal family. Last weekend, Lady Tatiana Mountbatten, 31 got engaged to her boyfriend, Alexander ‘Alick’ Dru. Tatiana is the daughter of the Marquess of Milford Haven, who is a first cousin of the Queen.

Lady Tatiana Mountbatten and her engagement
The young Lady Tatiana Mountbatten, 31 shared some wonderful snaps on her Instagram of her weekend engagement. She and her boyfriend, Alexander ‘Alick’ Dru were on a skiing holiday in Verbier in Switzerland. Alick chose this wonderful occasion to propose to his lady love and she said yes.
Tatiana posted three snaps on her Instagram. The first one was that of the couple with Tatiana wrapping her arm around Alick and smiling to the camera. In the second photo, the two are beaming to the camera and on the back are the snowy mountains. In the third photo the two are in s loving embrace. For the caption she put up a diamond ring emoji.
Congratulations from friends and fans
Tatiana’s friends and fans were overjoyed with this news. Cressida Bonas, Tatiana’s half-brother’s wife, commented:
“Beauties”
And followed it with emojis of two red hearts. Cressida was dating Prince Harry for 3 years from 2011 to 2014. Violet Manners, daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Rutland was on a holiday in Verbier at the same time. She wrote:
“Yes yes yes yes yes! So happy I got to see you both glowing this week. Big love xxxx”
On Telegraph UK, an announcement was made if this engagement that read:
“The engagement is announced between Alick, son of Mr and Mrs Bernard Dru, of Bickham, Somerset, and Tatiana, daughter of the Marquess of Milford Haven and Lady Spencer of Alresford.”
Queen and her ill-health
This piece of news is a good break for the Queen who had health issues last year. She had sprained her back. Additionally, she lost her husband, Prince Philip, 73 in April 2021. Last Christmas was a line time for her. She had to put on the back burner her traditional Sandringham festival plans due to covid. It was second year that it was canceled. She just had a mini-celebration in Windsor Castle with a few relatives.
Lady Tatiana is 464th in line to the throne. Her father is George Mountbatten, 4th Marquess of Milford Haven who is a businessman. He is 60 and is the oldest son of 3rd Marquess of Milford Haven. George is descent from Queen Victoria’s second daughter, Princess Alice. He has another son Henry Mountbatten who is one year younger to Lady Tatiana.
Tatiana wanted to pursue the career of a skiing instructor. But instead now she is training dressage horses. In Windsor, she runs a horse yard. Earlier, she resided in Germany and Denmark. She had said:
“I spend every day doing what I love more than anything in the world: riding horses.”
Her fiance, Alexander Dru’s full name is Alexander Bernard Molyneux Dru. He is the the son of Auberon Alexander Bernard Dru and Catherine Margaret Norden. Alick with two friends from Oxford has founded the social travel app called Tripr. It is meant for those travellers who want to meet other travellers. He also founded a Stealth Startup.
