The engagement ring of Lily is extremely unique and rare. It has a lot of well-thought of setting and design. Charlie had designed it himself with help of Irene of Irene Neuwirth Jewellery. This brand makes lovely rings using colored precious stones. The diamond is light-pink in color and it is a rose-cut gemstone. Often, Lily posts photos of her engagement ring. In one of them, she wrote:

“My favourite new accessory.”

Talking about it on the show Live with Kelly and Ryan, Lily had said:

“It’s a rose-cut diamond. Charlie designed it with Irene.”

Kelly Ripa added:

“Those diamonds yield the longest marriages.”

The setting of the ring gem is bezel which means that it is affixed to the band. Hence it is securely fixed and there is no risk of it getting loose and falling out. This is better than the prong setting.

Bonnie Dudeney, a private jeweller told Hello magazine about Lily’s engagement ring:

“This looks like a very pretty rose-cut diamond and at a guess probably weighs between 2 or 3 carats. This style of diamond always appears larger because it is cut flatter than traditional, modern diamonds. It’s lovely ‘light pink’ colour and is exceptionally rare. While hard to place a value on it, it would certainly command a retail price upwards of £65,000.”

The Natural Diamond Council stated:

“The rose-cut diamond is more than 500 years old and was popular in the Georgian and Victorian eras [and now they] have made their triumphant comeback in the last five years.”
