Professional Career

The Chicago Bulls drafted him 3rd overall in the 1984 NBA Draft. He played most of his NBA career with the Bulls. He went on to win 6 NBA Championships with Bulls including several NBA and franchise records. He won 3 consecutive NBA championships, securing a “three-pat”. He missed the majority of the 1985-86 season due to the foot injury.

He briefly retired in 1993 to pursue a career in baseball, which he excelled in high school. it was later reported that Jordan’s 1993 retirement was a secret suspension by the league for gambling. He was seen gambling in Atlanta City, New Jersey during the Bulls’ playoff run in 1993.

He played baseball in the minor league as an outfielder. He signed a Minor League Baseball contract with the Chicago White Sox in February 1994. He played for the Birmingham Barons and Scottsdale Scorpions. Due to the ongoing Major League Baseball strike in March 1995, he decided to quit baseball.

Jordan won two Olympic gold medals for the United States. He first won the gold medal for the USA in the 1984 Summer Olympics, when he was a college player.
