Actress Mickey Sumner whose father is Sting has asked for divorce from her husband of four years, Chris Kantrowitz. She filed her marriage dissolution papers in the Los Angeles Court on 21 December 2021, The Blast reports. The media outlet has the divorce legal document copy with them. It appears that the couple will celebrate Christmas and the holidays separately.

There has been no word or statement from either Chris or Mickey. They have also neither confirmed nor denied these reports. On 24 December 2021, The Blast published this divorce news. And around the same time, Mickey posted on her social media a solo pic of herself which she had posed for W magazine. In the photo, she is wearing a festive dress.

The relationship journey of the couple

Mickey, 37 and Chris met and started dating. There is no information on their first meeting. Chris proposed to her in June 2016 and she said yes. Later in June 2017 the couple wed in Tuscany. The couple has a son called Akira Rogue Kantrowitz who was born on 31 December 2016.

But Akira is a child with special needs. Mickey is facing difficulties rearing him. This April, she wrote an article on Romper.com about it. She penned:

“At this moment in time, Akira is nonverbal, he is not walking, he is hard of hearing in both ears, has hypotonia, and global delays,”

“My experience of motherhood has been a rollercoaster of emotions and mental health challenges.”

The English actress had a diagnosis of postpartum anxiety and postpartum OCD. She is mentally disturbed and said:

She also revealed that she is envious of her friends who are free of these struggles. She queried herself about Akira:

“Can he just be allowed to be himself?”

Mickey’s parents are musician Sting and actress Trudie Styler. She has two elder half-siblings in musician Joe Sumner and Fuschia Katherine (“Kate”). The latter two are the kids of Sting with Northern Irish actress Frances Tomelty. She has a younger sister called Eliot Sumner, 31 who is a musician.
