Miley was on stage in Lollapalooza Brazil and helped a fan to propose to his boyfriend. She gave congratulations to the new couple and then went on to talk about her own experience with it. After the proposal, Miley said:

“Yasss!”

“Forever bitch, yasss! Congratulations! Honey, I hope your marriage goes better than mine. Mine was a f*king disaster.”

It may be recalled that Miley and Liam had an on-off type of relationship. This was going on for nearly ten years. They had first met on the sets of 2010’s The Last Song. When Miley’s house was burnt in a wildfire, she was in a fragile state of mind in her life. And in that phase, she found comfort in Liam and the two decided to get married. But within 7 months, it was all over and they divorced. Miley told host Joe Rogan on his podcast:

“Actually, [the one] I called the love of mine who I was with and we got divorced, it was almost like a pacifier,”

“It was that thing that I just needed. Not because we were in love anymore but because of the comfort and because my brain said ‘Oh, this feels better, this is comforting.’ But actually, knowing that I was giving in to an addiction made me feel way worse. I had the hangover. … It felt like a relapse every time I’d go back.”

Miley and her friendship with late drummer Taylor Hawkins

Taylor Hawkins was the drummer for Foo Fighters. Unfortunately, he died last month at a Colombian hotel due to drug overdose. He was just 50. Hence, Miley dedicated her Lollapalooza Brazil performance to Taylor. Additionally, she sang and did a tearful performance of her song “Angels Like You” in memory of Taylor.

Before Taylor’s death, Miley’s plane was struck by lightning and had to do an emergency landing. Talking about it, she revealed that Taylor was the first person she called up after the safe emergency landing. She said:

“He was already at the festival and that would have been a time that I would have gotten to see my friend and I didn’t,”

“I would have done anything to hang out with him one more time.”
