Nicole Young and Dr. Dre reach a divorce settlement of USD 100 million! Spousal support amount to be decided after 14 April 2022

There is settlement at last in the divorce case of rapper Dr. Dre and his ex-wife, Nicole Young. She had filed for divorce more than one year back. And now they have reached a settlement. Dr. Dre is ready to pay her USD 100 million.

TMZ was the first to report the news that Nicole Young and her ex-husband, Dr. Dre have reached a divorce settlement. In this, Dre has agreed to pay USD 100 million to his ex-wife Nicole. He has said that he will pay her USD 50 million now and the remaining amount he will pay her after one year. Dre will retain all his properties as well as rights of his music and stocks. Nicole will get a Rolls Royce, Cadillac limo escalade, motorcycle and also a Range Rover. She can also keep her expensive designer clothes, jewelry, bags, and fur.

Additionally, Dre will pay USD 2 million as spousal support to Nicole. This is until 14 April 2022. After that, there will be another court hearing to negotiate and settle on the amount of spousal support. The USD 2 million includes Nicole’s payment to her lawyer, maintenance cost, security cost, and other miscellaneous expenses. Prior to this, Nicole was getting USD 293,000 per month as support from Dre.

Dre, 56 and Nicole dated and wed in 1996. She was previously in wedlock with basketball player, Sedale Threatt. They share two kids together. First is son named Truice born in 1997 and second I’d daughter called Truly who was born in 2001.

After 24 years of marriage, Nicole filed for divorce in the summer of 2020. Earlier, the American rapper has a son named Curtis with his college girlfriend, Cassandra Joy Greene. Dre and Lisa Johnson have three daughters together. The first was born in 1983. In 1988, he had a son named Andre Young Jr. The baby man was Jenita Porter. But Andre died in 2008 dye to accidental overdose of morphine and heroin. For 9 years from 1987 to 1996, he was in a relationship with singer Michel’le. They have a son together called Marcel.

Dr. Dre and his recent health issues

The rapper suffered from complications of brain aneurysm on 5 January 2021. He was hospitalized in ICU at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. After he was admitted in the hospital, a few hours later his home became a target of an attempted burglary. His friends from the industry and fans offered him moral support during these bad days of his life.

He was discharged in February 2021 when he thanked all on his Instagram with a post and caption that read:

“Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes. I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!”
