Princess Fadzilah Lubabul marries Abdullah Al-Hashemi in a week long spectacular wedding in Brunei!
The wedding of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah’s daughter with second wife, Princess Fadzilah Lubabul, 36 took place recently. It was a weeklong event that commenced on 16 January 2022. Read on to grab all the details!
The wedding ceremony of Princess Fadzilah Lubabul
Princess Fadzilah Lubabul is 36 now and she is the daughter of the Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah. Her mother, Hajah Mariam is the second wife of the Sultan. Fadzilah is the ninth child of the sultan who has 12 kids in total until now. The gorgeous Princess is also called the sporty Princess. This name comes from the fact that Princess Fadzilah is captain of Brunei’s national netball team. She completed her graduation from Kingston University.
Rather reported that her wedding to her current husband, Abdullah Al-Hashemi was a weeklong affair that was regale and spectacular. Fadzilah has worn ethnic jewellery that she had borrowed from the gem and jewelry collection of her stepmother.

Princess Fadzilah is one of 5he four children of the Sultan with his second wife, Hajah Mariam. Hajah and the sultan divorced in 2003. The other three kids are Azemah Bolkiah, Prince Azim of Brunei, and Abdul Mateen. Prince Mateen is a social media influencer and an Instagram star. He is now 30 years old and younger to Fadzilah. On the occasion, Mateen wished his elder sister on her wedding with a sweet online message. He uploaded a series of photos of the wedding and captioned them:
“Congratulations to the newlyweds. I’m so happy for the both of you. Big love to my beautiful sister.”
Fadzilah’s father, the Sultan of Brunei has three marriages and two divorces. He is 75 years old now. His first wife is his first cousin, Princess Pengiran Anak Saleha. She continues to be his wife to date. The Sultan’s second wife, Hajah Mariam, was a flight attendant on Royal Brunei Airlines. They wed in 1982 and divorced in 2003. In August 2005, he exchanged wedding vows with Azrinaz Mazhar Hakim, a former Malaysian TV3 presenter. She is 33 years younger to the King. But the couple divorced in 2010. He has 18 grandchildren (2020).

Hols News reported that the venue of the wedding was the official residence of the Royal family which is called Istana Nurul Iman. This palace is one of the largest in the world. It has 1700 rooms, and a banquet hall that can fit in more than 5000 people at one time. One ceremony during the wedding was done at the nation’s Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque.
The bride wore a special beautiful diamond tiara for the big day. The tiara is so made that one can interchange its largest pear-shaped diamond with a heart-shaped diamond. Malaysian designer Bernard Chandran had designed the wedding dress of the bride.
The actual wedding was on 23 January 2022 and the next day was the reception. For the reception, the Princess wore another tiara that had six emeralds in it.
The husband of Fadzilah, Abdullah Al-Hashemi resides in Canada and has Iraqi ethnicity.
