Ronald Bell was an American composer, singer, songwriter, arranger, and producer who was well-known as the co-founding member of the popular American band, “Kool & the Gang”(1964). The “Kool & the Gang” band was formed in Jersey City, New Jersey, in 1964 by Ronald Bell himself and his brother, Robert “Kool” Bell.

Bell began his career in 1968 and throughout his 53-year career period, he established himself as one of Hollywood’s most influential musicians. Ronald Bell, also known as Khalis Bayyan, died on September 9, 2020, at the age of 68, at his home in the United States Virgin Islands. Bell was a devout Muslim who is survived by his ten children from his marriage to Tia Sinclair Bell.

He married Elizabeth Audrey, the eldest daughter of Kenneth Gossell MC of Burwash, Sussex, in 1954, and they had two boys, Andrew and Robert, as well as two girls, Fiona and Lucinda.
