Sunetra Sastry is an Indian father and English mother born in 1957 in Newcastle, England. Centered on the racial history of her father, Sastry grew up in England in the sixties and endured a core period of racial discrimination.

How Sunetra Sastry Meet Rowan Atkinson?

During the 1986 TV series Black Adder, Sastry met Atkinson. Sastry met him. After a couple of months of dating in the Russian Tea Room in New York City, Rowan and Sunetra were married in February 1990.

As a member of the crew on the long-time Black Adder sequence, Sastry made the make-up for Stephen Fry, but subsequently went to Atkinson when Fry came one day during the rehearsal and asked Sastry to work with him directly.

Stephen Fry, an openly gay actor who was the best man for Atkinson’s wedding and Sastry, finally confessed that Sastry was one of the few people he was drawn to in his 2010 autobiography.

Two children were created in the Sastry and Atkinson union, a son Benjamin who was born in 1993, and a daughter, Lily, who was born in 1995.

However, after 24 years of marriage, the couple separated, and by November 2015, they were officially divorced on the grounds of irreconcilable differences following Atkinson’s failure to appear in court during the divorce proceedings, a behavior the judge labeled as ‘unreasonable’.

However, the real reason for the divorce of a couple was connected with Rowan’s allegations of unfaithfulness after he got involved with Louise Ford, a 29-year-old actress.

The pair was revealed in 2014, soon after the split of Atkinson and Sastry. The Wyndham’s Theater in London is reportedly the first time Louise and Rowan met in 2013 as they performed together on The Quartermaine Terms.
