Trina’s first known American rap artist in 1998 was Trick Daddy on the single Nann Nigga, Trick’s second studio album www.thug.com, and she featured on Miami rapper. She worked as an immobilizer before and in her spare time she wrote rap rhymes.

Katrina Laverne Taylor was born on December 3, 1974, in Miami, Florida, better known by her stage name Trina. Her mother and father are respectively from the Bahamas and the Dominican Republic but they went their own way while Trina was still a child.

The popular rapper, who lived in Liberty City and on Pembroke Island in Florida, graduated from the Miami Northwestern Senior High School in 1992.

“Da Baddest Bitch” was released by Trina on March 21, 2000. The album debuted at numbers 33 and 11 on the US Billboard 200 and the Top R&B/Hip-Hop charts. Although the billboard was on for 39 weeks, the hit album was on the Hip Hop/R&B list for 49 weeks. The Music Industry Association of America certified gold eight months later (RIAA).

The first album was followed by “Da Baddest Bitch” from February 2000 and “Pull Over,” written in June 2000. Contrary to the debut album, there was no acknowledgment of the previous lead singles.

When Trina began promoting her first album in mid-2000, she began working to release her second album with Missy Elliott to grabe her songs.

In comparison to her first album where she did not have creative freedom, she had a lot of responsibility, choosing her own production, song titles, and the liberty to compose whatever she wanted to write. Trina released three singles from the mixtape titled “Diamonds Are Forever,” before launching the mixtape as a whole on March 28, 2011, in preparation for her sixth study album, which remains in sight. In two days, 4.8 million views were reported. She released “Fuck Love” on September 15, 2014, for her next album.

The artist revealed on the 9th of March 2015 after she had confirmed that she had quit Slip-N-Slide Records that she now had signed for Penalty Entertainment.
