Ye West barred from performing at this year’s Grammys due to his concerning online behavior

American rapper, Ye West seems to love headlines. He is constantly in news now not for his singing but for his weird behaviors and uninvited rude comments. The latest is that after been banned from Instagram, the rapper now has been barred from performing at the Grammy awards function this year.

Grammy awards function managers have barred him from performing at this year’s Grammys, his rep has confirmed. The reason is his online posts. Grammys is scheduled to take place on 3 April 2022. The Recording Academy that manages the show had not confirmed that Ye will be performing. They have also not stated that he will not be performing. But Ye has five nominations this year at the function.

The Blast had reported on 18 March 2022 that Ye and his team got a call from the managers of the show. They stated that his performance has been pulled out of the function. Ye’s rep now confirmed on this piece of news. The Blast had added that the organizers of the show had to take this decision dud to Ye’s concerning online behavior. Also, another reason was that host Trevor Noah would be conducting the function and there could likely be some trouble between the two on stage.

Ye and his suspension from Instagram

The rapper Ye has faced a suspension from Instagram for 24 hours in this week. A rep of the Instagram’s parent company Meta told CNN that Ye had used a racial slur against Trevor Noah and hence he was suspended from the social network. Rapper Ye had violated the site’s policies on hate speech, bullying, and harassment. Ye put up the controversial post after Trevor spoke on The Daily Show about Ye’s continuous rant on social media about his ex, Kim Kardashian and her current boyfriend, Pete Davidson.

After the post, Trevor told on the show:

“What I see from the situation is a woman who wants to live her life without being harassed by an ex-boyfriend or an ex-husband or an ex-anything.“

Addressing Ye, Trevor had added:

“It breaks my heart to see you like this. You are on a path that’s dangerously close to peril and pain.”

Rapper The Game and his defense of Ye

Rapper The Game has sided Ye and his behavior. Trying to cover it up, The Game wrote on his Instagram:

“When will all the BLACK entertainers, Athletes, Actors, Producers, Writers, Directors, Media etc…figure it out.”

And he added:

“The Grammys have at the last minute decided to pull @kanyewest from performing on the show as if we didn’t know it was coming,”

“Could be because @trevornoah is hosting and there was a conversation held amongst his team & the academy that led to the decision or because Ye’s account was suspended just days ago for reasons unknown especially in a world where all the negativities of the world can be found on the same app with no repercussions or suspensions.”
