Shrinkhala Khatiwada is a Nepali beauty who won the 2018 Miss Nepal. She belongs to Nepal, a country of Lord Gautama Buddha and world’s tallest mountain, Mount Everest. She is an architecture engineer by profession. She rose to prominence after winning the 23rd edition of Miss Nepal beauty pageant title in 2018. Shrinkhala Khatiwada, Miss Nepal 2018 exited from Top 12, as Miss Thailand advanced to the Final 5. Miss Thailand came ahead of Miss Nepal and Miss New Zealand winning Miss Asia and Miss Oceania and secured a place in Top 5. Shrinkhala Khatiwada will return to her home country with Multimedia Award and Beauty With a Purpose Award. Miss Mexico was crowned Miss World 2018.

Shrinkhala Khatiwada secured a place in the final round, Top 30 of Miss World 2018 after winning Multimedia Award and Beauty With a Purpose Award. In the first round of Head to Head challenge, she won against Miss Luxembourg, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Guam, and Moldova. However, she was defeated by Miss Singapore in the 2nd round of Head to Head Challenge. She also secured runner-up position in the Sanya Tourism Promotional Video Award.

Early life of Shrinkhala Khatiwada

Shrinkhala Khatiwada was born on 3 November 1995. Her birthplace is Hetauda, Province No. 3 in Nepal. She was born to Birodh Khatiwada and Mumu Sigdel. She holds Nepali nationality. She came from a family with a political background. Her father is a CPN (UML) leader, elected as a member of central parliament from Hetauda Constituency No. 2, whereas her mother is the Presiden of CPN(UML), Makawanpur District and also a member of state parliament of Province No 3. She grew up in her hometown Hetauda. She attended and completed her school from Hetauda Academy in Hetauda. She moved to Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal after completing school level. She completed her high school from Goldengate International College in Kathmandu. She then attended Tribhuvan University, Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus, one of the reputed Engineering colleges in Nepal. She graduated in architecture as a topper from there.

Career of Shrinkhala Khatiwada

She desired to participate in Miss Nepal the beauty pageant while she was a young girl. She planned to compete for the beauty pageant after graduating from university. She participated in 2018 Miss Nepal and was crowned 2018 Miss Nepal by former 2017 Miss Nepal winner Nikita Chandak. She was also named 2018 Miss Best Hair in the competition. After being crowned as new Miss Nepal, she has been active in social works. She has traveled to several places and initiated fundraising and awareness campaigns. She has also initiated long-term humanitarian welfare programmes in Nepal. Currently, she is participating in the 2018 Miss World in China. For the Miss World 2018, she featured Gosaikunda, an alpine freshwater oligotrophic lake located at an altitude of 4.380m in Nepal, in her intro video.
