Susanna Reid, the youngest of three siblings, was born in Croydon, South London, on December 10, 1970. When she was nine years old, her father Barry Reid and mother Sue Smith split. Her mother was a nurse and her father was a management consultant.
She began her educational career at the independent Croham Hurst School (from 1975 to 1981), attended Croydon High School (from 1981 to 1987), and then St.School Paul’s Girl’s (from 1988 to 1989) in London. Reid attended the University of Bristol from 1989 to 1892, shortly after completing her studies, to study Politics, Philosophy, and Law.
