Donny and Marie Osmond have announced the end of their 11-year residency in Las Vegas.
This is the end of an age. Donny and Marie Osmond are retiring from their Las Vegas residence later this year, after an 11-year run.
The announcement was made during a Thursday appearance on “Good Morning America” by the brother-sister couple.
Donny, 61, told the outlet, “It’s been speculated that we’re putting Donny & Marie to an end here in Las Vegas.” “And we’re here to formally announce it.” “In the last 11 years, we’ve been through a lot. Marie, in particular,” Donny continued about the 59-year-old. “And when she gets on stage, she’s such a pro,” says the narrator “‘I’m gushing,’ he exclaimed. “She does an excellent job. This is something I’m going to miss a lot… There is an unbreakable bond between us here.”
On Nov. 16, they will perform their final show at the Flamingo Las Vegas.
The two began their residency in September 2008, with a six-week concert engagement planned, according to the casino. The residency was, however, repeatedly expanded, culminating in a decade of performances last year.
Despite the fact that their long-running show has come to an end, Donny has hinted that the duo will continue to perform in some capacity.
He said, “It’s the end of the Donny and Marie tour, but it’s not the end of Donny and Marie.”
