Muoz was born in Spain to a sports-loving family. At a young age, her family forced her to participate in golf training courses. At the age of 14, she won her first title, the Spanish Ametuer title in 2002. Following that, she won the 2004 Girls Amateur Championship. Despite finishing second in the 2008 US Women’s Amateur, she did not compete in the 2009 race. She played in three professional majors as an amateur in 2009, finishing T-40 twice.
