Born in Jackson, Mississippi, United States, on July 24, 1988, Candice Kristina Patton was raised in Plano, Texas. Her mom is an Afro-American singer, and Paul Patton, her father, is an American/European engineer.

Because Candice grew up with a mom and a dad who felt a musical flair, from when she was a child Candice was interested in acting. She was a cheerleader in St Paul’s Christian School but after she tore her former cruciate ligament, she began to pay more attention to the theater.
