George was born in Bayonne, New Jersey, in the United States. His father was a longshoreman named Raymond Collins Martin, and his mother was Margaret Brady Martin. Darleen Martin Lapinski and Janet Martin Patten are his sisters. George Raymond Martin is his given name.
