Spike Lee, director, producer, and writer made headlines when he stormed out of the Dolby Theater after it was announced that ‘Green Book’ won the Best Picture at the 91st Academy Awards on Monday.
The 61-years old veteran director was up for two nominations, Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay for BlacKkKlansman and won one for the Best Adapted Screenplay.
Shortly after “Green Book” was announced the winner for Best Picture, the director walked towards the back of the auditorium in furious, where he was stopped at the doors and he eventually returned back to his seat. He called that the ‘Green Book’ winning the Best Picture was a wrong call made.
