Injuries and minor-looking accidents should never be ignored. They could lead to serious consequences and even death. The same happened with famous comedian Bob Saget who was found dead in his hotel room after a gig. After a postmortem, the coroner has revealed his cause of death. It comes as a surprise that Bob did not die due to stroke or heart attack as previously thought. But he died of a brain bleed post accidental injury.

The famous comedian, Bob Saget was found dead in his hotel room in Ritz-Carlton Orlando hotel on Sunday 9 January 2022. Doctors suspected that he expired due to a massive heart attack or stroke. He was 65 years of age. But now, coroners have done an autopsy on his body and officially released the cause of death of the comedian. It was due to internal cerebral bleeding post head trauma. His head had hit on something hard when he entered hid room in the hotel after his performance.

On what object the comedian hit on is uncertain. But it caused a huge bruise on the back of his head. Not knowing the severity of the bruise, Bob fell asleep on the bed and never woke up. The trauma caused a significant bleed inside his brain and that led to his death.

What Bob’s family said about the death?

The toxicology screening in the late comedian’s blood and viscera did not reveal anything abnormal. There was no drugs of alcohol in his body. Bob’s family now released astate to confirm in the accidental nature if his death. They said:

“Now that we have the final conclusions from the authorities’ investigation, we felt it only proper that the fans hear those conclusions directly from us,”

“The authorities have determined that Bob passed away from head trauma. They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep.No drugs or alcohol were involved.”

“As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter.”

Bob and his career

American stand-up comedic, Bob was born in Philadelphia, Penny, USA on 17 May 1956. He was also an actor and TV star. Bob also directed Benjamin in 2019. He studied at Abington Senior High School and graduated in 1975. His ambition was to become a doctor but his Honors English teacher, Elaine Zimmerman, discerned his creative potential and persuaded him to take up a career in that line. He went to Temple University’s film school and got an award during his trainee days.

Bob’s father Benjamin was a supermarket executive and his mother Rosalyn ”Dolly” was a hospital administrator. His two sisters are Gay Saget and Andrea Saget. His first wife was Sherri Kramer whom he divorced in 1997. They have three children together. In 2018, he wed Kelly Rizzo. She is a food and travel blogger.
